We have enjoyed having future teacher Ms. Williams as a student observer in Mrs. Stack's math classes! She has been not only observing as a requirement for her college courses, but she has also been creating engaging lessons and analyzing data to improve student learning.

Great Things Happen Here! Social Studies classes require you to be an investigator, to ask questions, and to synthesize information. Students practiced those skills in Mrs. Hicks' class by interviewing their peers and writing about their findings. What a neat activity!
Great Things Happen Here! Mrs. DuClos's and Mrs. Hoak's classes took Book Genre Personality Tests today. Using their favorite aspects of stories, they took an assessment to identify their personalities. Who would have thought what you liked to read was linked to who you are?
There have been a lot of community building activities going on in Mrs. Mulhall's classes lately! Paper towers, blindfold hunts, paper bridges...So many great activities to work on teamwork and collaboration.
The dinosaur graced us with its presence this morning during morning greeting!
Happy Friday!
Don't forget - It's a full day Friday. Classes will dismiss at 3:30.
Do you know how to slay a dragon? Mr. Wisdom is building classroom community through teamwork and creativity. Each team was given a scenario, and they had to work together to come up with a plan of how to defeat the dragon. Everyone was all smiles!
Mrs. Otto's classes are building classroom community by finding classmates who have common interests. This is a fun activity where students are out of their seats and building trust amongst each other. It's the CKH way!

Teachers have been hard at work the last week getting everything ready for the first day of school! We've received some excellent professional development from Solution Tree to help teachers better know how to help students who struggle in any subject, as well as ways to push students when they have achieved mastery. We're ready to put our new knowledge to work!
