This afternoon, the St. James Missouri Chamber of Commerce visited St. James Middle School to hand out the much-anticipated wristbands to our students. Thanks to the incredible support from our Tiger Community and the Chamber, enough money was raised to provide wristbands for every student from kindergarten through 8th grade. As part of our "Attendance: Your Passport to Success" campaign, we're reminding our Tiger Community of the critical role regular attendance plays in their child's success. Missing just 2 days a month, or 18 days a year (10% of the school year), is considered chronic absenteeism and can present challenges to academic progress. Every day truly counts!

Principal Lepper has been making a big impact by stepping into classrooms to lead lessons that go beyond traditional subjects. Recently, she guided students through thought-provoking sessions on topics like respect, the purpose of school, and the Capturing Kids' Hearts initiative. Using the EXCEL process, students collaborated and engaged in deep discussions, strengthening their connections and fostering a supportive community. By focusing on both social-emotional learning and academic skills, we're working towards the ultimate goal of creating a school culture where students feel empowered.
