St. James Middle School is thrilled to announce that the Fort Leonard Wood Award for Selfless Service was presented to Jalyn Sample. The army defines this as demonstrating the action and willingness to put others above yourself for the greater good without the expectation of recognition or reward.
Jalyn was honored in a small ceremony with her family.
Teachers at St. James Middle School nominate students who embody the monthly character trait. Of those nominations, a winner is selected to receive the award. In addition to Sample, Ashton Sbabo and Kylar Hodge were nominated by their teachers are were presented with a certificate.
