Staff Shoutout for Coach Wells

Mr. Story's Two-Dimensional Art Class is currently participating in the worldwide challenge of INKTOBER. This is a global art challenge where participants create an ink drawing each day in October. Story's class is creating a collage-style art piece while participating in this daily challenge. Students have the option to link their work online for the world to see. By October 31, students should have a collection of sketches connecting all 31 prompts on a singular canvas for an art display.
For more information about INKTOBER or how you can get involved visit inktober.com.

🌟 In Mr. Singleton's class, students are diving deep into the fascinating politics of the Gilded Age! 🏛️✨ They're exploring the complexities of this pivotal era and uncovering the historical influences that shaped our nation. #StJamesHighSchool #GildedAge #LearningInAction

Thank you to the Missouri Army National Guard and SFC Brian Beard for the donation of a weightlifting record board for the St. James High School Weight Room. Pictured Left to Right: Dr. Greg Harlan, SFC Brian Beard, Coach Dillon Gray, and Coach John Franks

Echo Barnes is our cadet in the Elementary Counseling Office, and is the hardest working kid we have ever had. She makes bags for our food bag program and is always looking for ways to do more. She is positive, driven, very organized, and shows empathy to the students that pass through.

Attention St. James Families:
A host family is needed for an Exchange Student currently enrolled in the St. James School District. Below is an audio introduction of the student, Youseff. If you are interested hosting him, then contact Dr. Greg Harlan at the St. James High School. In the event Youseff is unable to find a host family within the next few days, he will be moving to another school in hopes of being matched with a family.

On September 30th, the Grow Your Own Initiative and Future Teachers of America took students to MS&T for their annual future teachers workshop day. The annual event, hosted by the education department at the university, gives students insight into what it takes to be a college student who is interested in an educational field. Our students participated in various engaging workshops, including STEM, college planning, and personal growth work. We appreciate the effort that Dr. Gillis and her team at MS&T put forth in this workshop each year!

🌟 Our teachers and students are diving deep into the principles of the Constitution in Mr. Sampson's class, while also mastering how to plot ordered pairs in Mrs. Gray's class. Great things are happening here at St. James High School! 📚✨

Almost ready for the class of 2024 to walk across that stage!

Congratulations to the high school's very own Mrs. Walsh on being named the 2023-24 staff member of the year. Mrs. Walsh has served the building for 27 years and will be retiring at the end of this school year. Her steady commitment to the students at St. James will be missed.

Final call! The 2023-2024 high school yearbook order deadline is April 29th!

This afternoon we got to celebrate our students who have earned a 3.5 GPA or higher the first three quarters of this year and 90% attendance or better. We had 150 students that were able to participate in the Honors Luncheon. This is one of our favorite days of the year as we get to express our gratitude as a building to our students who have earned this recognition. Every day is a great day to be a Tiger!

It was a wonderful afternoon viewing the eclipse with all of the high school students. We were able to get a cool aerial photo of all the students. Every day is a great day to be a Tiger!
