In November, LWJE shines a light on our "Teamwork" Stars. Our students are coming together, collaborating, and demonstrating outstanding teamwork skills. November's Word of the Month is TEAMWORK!
Throughout each month, students across all grade levels will participate in engaging classroom challenges that encourage them to embody the “Word of the Month” in their daily lives. At the end of the month, each classroom teacher will select a student who has truly embraced the spirit of the word. These students will be recognized as "Students of the Month!”

Tiger Highlight: Middle School Stars Honored for Army Value of Respect!🎖️✨
Let's give a big round of applause to Ryan Engelbrecht, who received the Army Character Value award for showing remarkable RESPECT. His fantastic example inspires everyone around him, including peers and teachers! Haley Stack, Michael Wilson, and Jayden Smith were also celebrated for their commitment to this core value. These awards recognize students who live by the Army's essential values: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage.

🍂 Earlier this Fall, our first-grade students embarked on an exciting journey through St. James to explore the adventures of Flat Stanley! A beloved character from Jeff Brown's book series, Flat Stanley travels the world in flat form, sparking curiosity and learning opportunities for students. Our young explorers followed Flat Stanley's path, discovering different destinations in our town. Our 4th graders have been on an adventure! Following their exploration of the novel "Hatchet," they embarked on a field trip to Maramec Spring Park. There, they put their survival skills into practice, learning shelter building, animal tracking, story crafting, and fire building.
