🌟 Tiger Highlight: Showing Respect at Lucy Wortham James Elementary School! 🌟
This January, LWJE students demonstrated what respect is all about! From kind words to thoughtful actions, our Tigers prove that respect strengthens our school community. January’s Word of the Month was RESPECT!
Each month, students engage in activities that bring the Word of the Month to life in meaningful ways. At the end of the month, teachers select one student from their class who truly embodies the word. These standouts are recognized as our Students of the Month!
Join us in celebrating our January Students of the Month! 👏 #Respect #stjschools #tigerpride

Learning Highlight: Special Visitors at St. James Middle School! ❤️🐐🤍
Students and staff alike loved getting to visit with baby goats at St. James Middle School! Ag students had the chance to learn firsthand about animal care and handling while sharing some farmyard fun with their classmates. #academicexcellence #stjschools #tigerpride

Learning Highlight: Lights, Camera, Innovation! 💡🐯💬
Mrs. Moreland's fourth-grade class took an inventive journey using Hedy Lamarr's Sample Pitch Planner, collaborating to create skits that either showcased the importance of an invention or featured an interview with the inventor. This hands-on project helped them explore innovation and its impact on the world. #academicexcellence #stjschools #tigerpride

Learning Highlight: Brewing Curiosity at St. James Middle School with Starbooks Tasting! 📚🐯☕
Last week, 8th graders enjoyed a unique “book tasting” experience at Starbooks, where they had the chance to explore new titles, all while being served by their very own barista. A huge thank you to our educators for creating classrooms that ignite curiosity and a love for reading! #academicexcellence #stjschools #tigerpride

Learning Highlight: The Art of Expression! ✨🐯🎨
Advanced art students at St. James R-1 High School are exploring self-chosen projects, discovering that the arts go beyond skill. When students are free to create, they unlock new ways to tell their stories, think critically, and view the world through fresh perspectives. That’s the power of arts in education! #academicexcellence #stjschools #tigerpride

Learning Highlight: LWJE Tigers Add Creativity to Library! 🌳🐯📚
Some of our Tigers recently brought their creativity to life in the library! After reading "My Dad is a Tree" by Jon Agee, they got busy crafting their own trees and adding little creatures, flowers, and more to our BIG tree (the painted one on the wall and ceiling!). It was a fun mix of storytelling and hands-on art! #academicexcellence #stjschools #tigerpride

Tiger Highlight: All-State Choir Success! 🎵🐯✨
Let’s give a round of applause to Addalye Felan (Soprano) for her outstanding achievement in the 2025 All-State Choir! After hours of practice and rehearsals, Addalye’s dedication earned her a spot among the best.
Thank you to Mr. Felan and the entire choir program for representing our district and your commitment to musical excellence! #AllStateChoir #stjschools #tigerpride #ArtsInEducation

Lucy Wortham James Elementary: Misty Hutchcraft and Craig Southard
St. James Middle School: Nathanael Siders and Allie Carrell
St. James R-1 High School: Jordan Hance and Kelsey Brewer
The "Leading the Tiger Way" teacher and staff of the month program is designed to spotlight one teacher and one classified staff from each building every month. We want to recognize our most dedicated and talented employees. This program allows each staff member an opportunity to nominate a peer who exemplifies the character and professional traits we strive for as a District. #TeacherTuesday #leadingthetigerway #stjschools #tigerpride

GREAT things happen when a community comes together! ❤️🐯🤍
Like many districts, we've seen a wave of sickness, but thanks to The Caring Center, we're a little more prepared to fight back. Director Nancy Montgomery heard the need and took action, purchasing and delivering over 100 bottles of hand sanitizer for our buildings.
This is what our mission is all about—working together to support our Tiger Community. Thank you, Nancy and The Caring Center, for your kindness and generosity! #communitypartnerships #stjschools #tigerpride
