Spring Break started with a major accomplishment for STJ DECA at the state competition in Kansas City. For the first time ever, four St. James students have qualified for DECA Nationals and will compete in Orlando next month.
State results:
State Champions – Keiran Goodridge & Allison Busby (Marketing Team Decision Making)
Top 10 Finish – Serenity Dunn (Principles of Entrepreneurship)
Top 10 Finish – Cat Lillis (Principles of Hospitality & Tourism)
In addition to individual success, STJ DECA received Thrive Level Chapter Recognition for outstanding work in Community Service and Promotion. Three of the four national qualifiers are also members of Tiger Express Apparel, the district’s student-run business. Thank you to Sponsor, Mrs. Hance, for supporting our students.
Congratulations to these students on their hard work and dedication. St. James DECA is making history, and we cannot wait to see them represent our school at Nationals.
