Hope Hunter - Teacher of the Year

We are delighted to announce that Hope Hunter, the librarian at Lucy Wortham James Elementary, has been honored as a Regional Teacher of the Year. This recognition is a testament to her dedication and passion for promoting literacy and advancing the science of reading. Hope has cultivated a vibrant library culture that extends into classrooms, inspiring a love for reading and fostering academic excellence throughout the school.

Hope will now advance to the Missouri Teacher of the Year selection process, representing our district and competing for the state title. Out of 65 schools in our region, only two educators have moved on to this level of competition.

The Regional Teachers of the Year are selected based on their outstanding educational contributions, innovative teaching practices, and commitment to student success. We are incredibly proud of Hope and wish her the best of luck in the next phase of the competition.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to celebrate Hope's achievements and support her journey towards becoming the Missouri State Teacher of the Year.
