Medieval Club!

Allow us to introduce you to the captivating Medieval Club thriving within our school community.

Have you ever been curious about the noble code of chivalry, knights, royalty, or the clash of steel on steel? The Medieval Club is a vibrant live-action war game society right here in our district. This incredible group of students engages in crafting mock weaponry, studying medieval tactics, and simulating thrilling battles, all while embodying the values of chivalry.

From commoners to kings, all are welcome in the Medieval Club, as long as you possess a courageous heart. The main attraction is the skirmishes, where students engage in honorable duels to determine the most powerful, cunning, or swift among them.

The Medieval Club focuses on mastering classical armaments like swords, shields, spears, and more, all while ensuring safety and fostering a sense of good sportsmanship and camaraderie among students. After all, what is victory without chivalry?

Recently, the club embarked on an exciting field trip to the Kansas City Renaissance Festival, a tradition dating back to 1977. This event has grown to become one of the largest of its kind in the United States, featuring jousting tournaments, live stage shows, artisan crafts, and the beloved giant turkey leg. Our students had the opportunity to express their creativity through costumes and experience a brief journey back in time.

The Medieval Club is always seeking new and exciting ways to honor the past, whether on the battlefield or in the classroom. Students work diligently to uphold the noble code of chivalry and continually challenge themselves to become the honorable knights they aspire to be.

A special thanks to Mike Harris, the founder of the organization - all hail to the original king! Thank you to Sponsor Alec Conner for taking the reins on this epic journey.
