Local sponsors are joining forces to make a significant impact on the lives of students in the area. The annual Tiger Trot 5k, a beloved community event, is back, and this time, it's not just about running; it's about making a real difference.
All proceeds from the race, coupled with money raised from sponsorships, are being channeled into the "Gifts for Kids Fund," an initiative aimed at ensuring that every student in the school district receives a special gift before Winter Break.
The first two years of the Gifts for Kid fund saw great support and growth, and we're excited about this year. Sponsors from various sectors are stepping up to the plate.
The fund's mission is clear: to bring smiles to the faces of students during the holiday season, ensuring that no child goes without a gift. But it doesn't stop at registration. The call to action extends beyond the runners and walkers. The community is invited to join the cause by spreading the word, sharing the excitement, and becoming sponsors themselves.
Beth Keyes, Communications Director, explains, "By supporting the Tiger Trot 5k and the Gifts for Kids Fund, sponsors are not only investing in our community's future but also creating unforgettable memories for our students. Your support allows us to fulfill a goal of making sure every one of our students receives a gift before Winter Break."
Keyes can be reached at communications@stjschools.org or at (573) 265-2300 ext 40507 for those interested in becoming sponsors.
The Tiger Trot 5k has always been about more than just a race; it's a celebration of community spirit and compassion. As the holiday season approaches, the Gifts for Kids Project stands as a shining example of how a community can come together to ensure that every child experiences the joy of receiving a gift.
