Lisa Huster, St. James Middle School secretary, has been named the St. James R-1 School District's 2022-23 Staff Member of the Year! The entire middle school gathered to surprise Mrs. Lisa as she was presented her award from Mr. Webster and Dr. Williams.
Lisa Huster plays an integral role in the success of the St. James R-1 School District. Lisa ensures that everyone who enters the school is greeted with a warm welcome and receives the assistance they need.
"Mrs. Lisa is beloved by students and staff alike," said Superintendent Tim Webster. "Her positive attitude and support for all she encounters is unparalleled. She goes above and beyond to ensure that the school runs smoothly, and every day she shows up to support our Mission."
Lisa has been working for the St. James R-1 School District for 31 years, and her colleagues have nothing but praise for her. "Lisa is the glue that holds our school together," said one staff member. "She is always willing to lend a helping hand, and she has a smile for everyone who enters the office. She truly cares about all students in not only the middle school, but the whole district."
"I love coming to work," said Lisa. "I’m here every day for these kids and coming to work is a joy because of the students."
