Senior NHS students honor their most influential teachers.

Last night was a night to remember as St. James R-1 High School celebrated one of the biggest National Honor Society (NHS) induction classes in our district's history! Seniors were also honored and each gave a speech about their most influential teacher, reminding us of the lifelong impact educators have on students.

Senior Lily Cross-Baker shared, "My most influential teacher, Mrs. Daniels, made a positive impact on my life by showing me that your mindset is EVERYTHING when it comes to success." This statement holds so much truth and highlights the importance of having educators who not only educate but also inspire and motivate. "My favorite qualities about Mrs. Daniels are that she is understanding, lighthearted, and passionate about her job. She makes me feel welcome every day in her classroom no matter what is going on in my life or her life."

It's teachers like Mrs. Daniels who make a significant difference in the lives of their students. They challenge their students to grow and strive for excellence, and their positive attitude has a ripple effect on everyone around them.

Congratulations to all the new inductees and the honored seniors! And to all the educators out there, thank you for your unwavering commitment to our students' success!
