Superintendent Reports

I am pleased to report that construction and renovations at John F. Hodge High School is quickly coming to an end. Please join us for the culmination of our long awaited auxiliary gymnasium, classroom renovations, and performing arts auditorium. On Tuesday, April 6 at noon, the District and Chamber of Commerce will host a brief ribbon cutting ceremony in the new atrium entryway. An open house event will take place later that afternoon starting at 3:30 and ending at 5:30. Community members are invited to come tour the new renovations at the high school, including the exciting new performing arts auditorium. District students, staff, and Board of Education members will be present to welcome and give tours. The tours will begin at the new atrium entryway on Scioto Street. CDC recommended social distancing guidelines will be followed during the open house event. Refreshments will be provided to all guests. The high school projects have been in progress for almost two years, while the early childhood addition to the elementary building was completed last August. If you are able to attend, you will be excited and proud to see how well the old high school building was transformed into aesthetically pleasing, safe, and efficient learning spaces for our students. If you are unable to attend the open house event on April 6, you may make alternative arrangements by contacting the high school office for a time which will work for you.
