A Top Priority
Student Wellness is a top priority for the St. James R-1 School District. We are committed to ensuring our students feel they belong, are cared for, and have an adult they trust within our staff. The following action steps describe what we are doing to accomplish this goal:
Parent Guidance Resources
Parent Guidance, a non-profit organization, provides mental health resources for parents, students, and staff.
Caring Staff
Our school district has two caring and qualified counselors in each building. They work daily to provide support and resources to our students and educators. For more information, please visit our School Counselor Page.
988 Suicide and Crisis Life Line
988 became the national three-digit phone number for all mental health, substance use, and suicide crises. Anyone in need of crisis support for themselves or someone else should call 988. 988 calls will be routed to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline centers in each state.
