NEW Families: How to Enroll Your Child
If you are transferring to the St. James R-1 School District, please see the guidelines below to make sure you contact the right building to begin enrollment.
Children who will be 5 years old on or before July 31st are eligible to attend Kindergarten for the upcoming school year. To begin the screening process, please contact the Elementary Office (573-265-2300 option 1) to schedule an appointment.
Any parents with a child that will be in grades 1-5 should contact the Lucy Wortham James Elementary School. (573-265-2300 option 1)
Any parents with a child that will be in grades 6-8 should contact the St. James Middle School office. (573-265-2300 option 2)
Any parents with a child that will be in grades 9-12 should contact the St. James High School office. (573-265-2300 option 3)
St. James R-I Three-Step Registration Process
STEP 1: Contact Your Child's Building
At all locations it is recommended that you bring the following items to enrollment:
Birth Certificate
Social Security Card
Immunization Record
Name & Address of Previous School(s)
Special Education Information (if applicable)
Proof of Residency
