Our team has worked hard over the summer to prepare for the new school year, and we are excited to have our students return to our classrooms.

St. James R-1 School District teachers and staff are excited to welcome your children back to start the 2023-2024 school year. Below you’ll find the information you need before the first day of school on TUESDAY, AUGUST 22, 2023.
Beginning the 23-24 school year, we will be partnering with TeacherLists to provide a one-stop-shop for all your school supplies.
St. James R-1 offers breakfast and lunch for students each day. Please fill out the Free/Reduced Meal Application. Last year, we were able to offer free breakfast for all students because of the percentage of applications the state received. Money can be deposited into your child’s account through LINQ Connect (Titan Family Connect).
Students at St. James R-1 will be provided accessible health care while we promote prevention and partner with parents and staff to enable students to perform at their personal best.
The St. James R-1 Public Schools app is a free way for parents, teachers, students, staff, and the community to access school information on their smartphone. You can find news and access many of our other resources, all through one app.

LWJE: Building opens at 7:30 AM with 8:00 AM start and 3:00 PM end time.
MS: Building opens at 7:45 AM with 8:20 start and 3:20 PM end time.
HS: Building opens at 7:30 AM with 8:00 AM start and 3:00 PM end time.
First and foremost, the safety and security of our students and staff is our top priority and drives all of our decisions when it comes to inclement weather.

The St. James R-1 contracts with Copeland Bus for transportation.
We also allow parents to drop-off/pick-up their students at school. Your child’s school will communicate procedures.
St. James R-1 is dedicated to providing a technology-rich educational experience that will prepare students for the future while still providing a well-rounded education. The Technology Department’s goal is to provide the resources and support necessary to meet this goal.
