Dear STJ Families,
Due to excessive student quarantines in the high school building, John F. Hodge High School will shift into the Hybrid Learning Plan. While we would of course prefer to have all students in the building full time, we are hopeful that reducing the daily population in the high school building on a temporary basis will help slow the spread of COVID-19 and allow us to fully resume regular operations soon.
For the hybrid schedule beginning next Monday, November 16, students will be divided into 2 groups based on the first letter of their last name. The Red Group will attend seated classes on Mondays and Wednesdays, and learn from home on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The White Group will attend seated classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and learn from home Mondays and Wednesdays. All students will learn virtually on Friday and have scheduled time to connect with their teachers. Please review this link: Hybrid Learning Plan
This does NOT affect Middle School or Lucy Wortham James Elementary students.
If you have questions or concerns, you may email high school principal Joe Stammers or Assistant Principal Phil West. Additionally, you may ask questions on the St. James R-I School District Facebook Page. A school representative will be available to answer questions on Facebook over the weekend.
We apologize for the late notice, but based on all of the present community and county trends, we feel this is what is the safest option for our high school students and staff at this time.
