Middle School and High School students will return to 5-Day Seated Instruction on Tuesday, February 16
We are pleased to share with you our plan to bring St. James Middle School and John F. Hodge High School students back to a 5-day (Monday-Friday) seated schedule beginning Tuesday, February 16, 2021. MS and HS students will have this upcoming week, February 8-12, where we will continue in our current Red & White groups, to prepare and adjust their schedules prior to returning full-time. We feel the shift is appropriate at this time based on decreasing positive COVID case numbers, both in the building and the community. We will continue to work closely with the Phelps-Maries County Health Department and other local health professionals to monitor conditions.
Bringing back the entire student population will result in a decreased ability to social distance in the building. For this reason, mask wearing and other mitigation strategies remain essential to our success. Building administration will be sending out more communication this week reminding families of student expectations and quarantine protocols.
Once again, thank you for your patience and continued support as we strive to keep everyone safe this school year. We hope this is the first step in moving toward a new normal at STJ Schools as we navigate through the second semester.
