ACTIVITIES:8:30 – Varsity Boys Basketball Tournament @ Potosi: Sullivan v. STJ, bus leaves @ 6:00
ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB MEMBERS: Please attend our regular monthly meeting this Thursday, December 5. We will be putting our Christmas baskets together.
FOOTBALL PLAYERS: Each player needs to give $5 to either Jesse Hays or Seth Gibson by Friday, December 6th. The money is for coach’s gifts.
SENIORS: Scholarships equal free money for college, so it’s important to apply for as many as possible. During scholarship season, Ms. Coyne will be offering incentives to seniors who apply for and win scholarship money. For every scholarship application completed and submitted, you will get a candy bar of your choice. For every scholarship won, you will get a $10 gift certificate to various stores and restaurants. Ms. Coyne has set a goal for the class of 2014; win $100,000 in scholarship money by the end of March. If the senior class reaches this goal, every senior who won scholarship money will be entered to win a tablet, headphones, and other prizes
Pizza party for seniors accepted to college! Show your proof of acceptance this Thursday, December 5th in Ms. Coyne’s office and get free pizza during your lunch hour.
January 15 is the deadline for Seniors to submit their photos to the 2013-14 Yearbook.
The following scholarships are available: Elks Most Valuable Student – 12/6, 12/15 – AXA Achievement and SMART Scholarship, 12/31 -The Anne Ford Scholarship, Ed Stegner Natural Resource, Girls Impact the World Scholarship, Corrosion in Motion Scholarship
STUDENTS: Tutoring during school hours is available through the Library. Please sign up with Mrs. Auxier and remember you must have teacher permission.
After school detention will be in Mrs. Roberts room today and Mrs. Berrys room on Thursday.
There will be a HAT DAY on Friday, December 6th. Proceeds will go to the Adopt a Veteran for Christmas program at the Missouri Veteran’s Home. Students need to bring $1 and find a member of Tau Iota Gamma!!!! This is an important fundraiser to help our veterans’ have a wonderful Christmas!!! Wear your Crazy Christmas Hats or any other hat and support our veterans!!!! Let’s Deck the Halls!!!!!!
Final Opt Out forms are available on the table outside the main offices. Students having 96% attendance through the end of the last 3 week grading period (ended 11/22) are eligible to opt out of taking 2 final exams. Teachers have a listing of students eligible to opt out. Forms must be returned by 12/9 to your last hour teacher. STUDENTS MAY NOT OPT OUT OF BENCHMARK TESTS.
Students and Teachers: It is time for our annual canned food drive. Bring your cans and other food items to Mrs. Berry or to Mrs. Shaver so we can make an effort to help families in our area at Christmas time. The deadline is December 6, so get those items in as soon as possible.
