What is the FAFSA?
The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Think of the FAFSA as the gateway to almost all money for college. This form is used to determine the amount of money (or EFC) a family is expected to contribute to the price of attending a postsecondary institution. The results from the FAFSA are used in awarding student grants, work-study, and loans.
Why should I file the FAFSA?
The FAFSA is the necessary application for any student wanting to receive federal, state, and some institutional aid. Think of it this way: no fafsa=no aid!
When Do I Complete a FAFSA?
- The FAFSA became available on Jan. 1st and should be completed ASAP!
- Missouri Deadline: April 1st
- Institutional Deadline: Some schools have priority deadlines for FAFSA completion. Check with your school’s website or call the financial aid office!

Due to construction at the St. James High School the only entrance that will be open for basketball games being played in the High School gym will be the double doors leading into the commons off of Hardy Street, which is located on the North end of the school. Fans will still be able to park in the parking lot but must enter through the doors off of Hardy Street. Handicap entrance will be located off Hardy Street as well by the loading dock and through the covered ramp into the school. Thank you for your patience during the construction phase.
